Stay in Amalfi, Minori, Maiori or Salerno if you want both ferry and bus all season; Positano works if you are happy with steps. Praiano and Atrani only had ferry calls in Travelmar's summer 2026 timetable, so outside summer they are bus-only bases. Ravello has no ferry at all.

In summer, base where the lifts you want start, and check that they are running for your dates: in 2026 they opened between 1 May and 20 June and closed between mid-September and early November. In winter, base on the ski circuit you want. In the shoulder months, base in a valley with year-round buses, because most lifts are shut.
